Miniature Gardens

We may not all have the luxury of a large garden these days, or any garden for many of us, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of ways we can squeeze a little greenery into our houses.

Terrarium - £20

We love these pyramid terrariums for a simple way to display small plants.

They can be used as a freestanding display or hung up.

Miniature greenhouses - £20 each

With these indoor greenhouses you could actually cultivate your plants and herbs indoors, or if you're feeling a little less green fingered than that you could just pop a few cute cacti in there.

Insect Hotel - £18

If you are lucky enough to have some outside space, why not encourage and help a little wildlife in the area. These insect hotels are filled with various natural materials that are ideal for bees, ladybirds, butterflies and other insects. You don't have to have a large area as these are suitable for garden, terrace or balcony!

Today we're embracing our feminine side and indulging in some pastel candy colours! Let's talk about birds

Right! Let's talk birds! You may already know that in the UK right now, taking place alongside this year’s General Election, is an alternative election - to find Britains National Bird. The campaign highlights ten iconic birds that have a special place in our hearts, but only one can win the top prize. Who will you vote for? The robin and bluebird are unsurprisingly heading up the front as firm favourites amongst the nation, but maybe your voting will lean towards the magestic swan, the striking kingfisher, the puffin or barn owl or perhaps you prefer a bird of prey and will give your vote to the red kite or hen harrier, or just maybe the humble blackbird or often overlooked wren will be your bird of choice.

You can visit the official website to vote. Voting will close at midnight on 7 May 2015 and the winner will be announced soon after.

We are currently still deciding on our vote (and personally we think the pigeon is probably a bit put out to have not even made the top ten).

Happy Easter!

It's that time of year again, if you're studying (or teaching) this week will be the glorious start to a well earned break! Or for others maybe you are looking forward to an up coming long weekend. For the any of you who may not be getting any Easter time off we suggest you treat yourself to a little something to make up for it! Here are a few non-chocolate based Easter treats (Although feel free to combine with any quantity of chocolate eggs!)

Spring has Sprung

Well, it's officially Spring here now, not that you'd be certain if you looked out the window today. But fear not! We've got the perfect antidote to the grey skies with these colourful editions to your life..

We are in love with this large ceramic yellow pineapple, who knew a big decorative pineapple was exactly what we needed in our lives! You can't help but feel a little bit sunnier with this around.
